Jerwood Painting Fellowships
Background
Jerwood Painting Fellowships are a key strand of the Jerwood Visual Arts programme, a major initiative of the Jerwood Charitable Foundation designed to promote and celebrate the work of emerging artists across artistic disciplines.
Created to identify and support three outstanding painters, the purpose of the Fellowships is to offer structured opportunities for artists to develop in two distinctive areas: studio practice and professional development.
Jerwood Painting Fellowships are an open submission opportunity. Three artists will become Jerwood Painting Fellows. Each will receive a bursary of £10,000, will be assigned a mentor for a year long period and will be expected to work towards an exhibition within the Jerwood Visual Arts programme at Jerwood Space, London and on tour.
